With all the many accolades received by IMA Pune at State and National levels due to phenomenal work done by previous teams and Presidents, we will continue the legacy and see the crowning glory shine further.
We wish to improve our image in Society.
Over the last 5-6 years, our fraternity all over India is facing many problems, including MedicoLegal mishaps, unjust FIRs unjust new laws, and amendments regarding our profession which lead to an increase in violence against healthcare. Obviously, we were shocked, worried, and disturbed. For us a safe, calm, and secure atmosphere are desirable.
With deepest heartfelt condolences to Dr. Archana Sharma a Dausa, Rajasthan based gynecologist, who was running a maternity home for 25 years saving lot many lives, but who was made to commit suicide under severe stress and pressure, due to an unjust FIR of 302 slapped on her when she couldn’t save the life of a 22-year-old 4 th gravida with previous three female children, and who had a natural complication of heavy post-delivery bleeding called Post Partum Haemorrhage, we start our year with the THEME: PROTECT YOUR HEALERS.
I also propose to work on four basic principles… Innovate, Inspire, Impact, Influence to achieve New Mindset, New Result. That forms this year’s logo.

We, at IMA Pune, are fortunate to have a great legacy of getting very dynamic, energetic, principled, and helping leaders successively, lead from the front. After a very eventful and successful tenure of Dr. B L Deshmukh, a non-assuming but towering personality and worker, this year Dr. Meenakshi Deshpande has taken over the reins as IMA Pune President. She is a hard-core worker for IMA and does active work in MedicoLegal Committee, AMS committee, and Mission Pink health and WDW committee.She has received many President’s Appreciation Awards, Rotary awards, and is the recipient of Dr Kanak Goyal Award of National HQ for exemplary work in women’s welfare and social awareness

This prestigious six storeyed building was constructed out of funds generated through donations from members. The inauguration was in the year 2008. It has offices of IMA and eight colleague organizations. It is centrally located on Tilak Road, near Swargate area. These premises are available on hourly basis for academic, social, cultural programmes as well as for family functions and get-togethers.
